Calculation for disk, ring, and rectangular magnets magnetised in the z-direction. The origin of the calculated field point is located centrally on the horizontal face. The z (axial) component of the magnetic flux density is calculated.

Calculation, only with axially magnetised disc magnet parallel to a steel plate with gap distance X; or between two such identical magnets with gap distance 2X.
